Learning Outcome:
EndNote is a reference management program that allows you to create your own reference library and use the program to insert citations into a manuscript and generate a correctly formatted bibliography (reference list). This introductory course will teach you how to create your personal library and fill it with references in different ways. You will also learn about Cite While You Write, where EndNote and Word cooperate when you insert citations into the text and automatically creates a bibliography at the end of the manuscript. You will also learn how you later can use EndNote to change the formatting of citations and bibliography according to the rules of the journal you want to publish in.

Additional EndNote information:
The EndNote program is freely available for NTNU students and staff (NTNU site license). The latest edition is 20.4.1 (Windows) and 20.4 (Mac). NTNU staff with administrated computers can install EndNote by themself from the computer's software center on the desktop. You can also download the program to your private computer (Information).
