A Data Management Plan (DMP) is a useful tool to help organize research data in your project.
A Data Management Plan (DMP) is a requirement from several research funders and part of NTNU's policy for Open Science. A DMP describes what data the research project will generate (or reuse), how it will be stored, analysed, and, if possible, shared according to the principles "as open as possible, as closed as necessary" and "FAIR" (Findable, Accesible, Interoperable and Reusable). A good DMP will help you not only to plan and manage your research project better, it will also make your data more verifiable and reusable. In this course, we will take you step-by-step through how to set up a DMP.
